Before the first golgappa even touches your lips, Saptrishi Pani Puri Masala announces itself. That sharp, earthy burst of hing-infused black salt. The cool whisper of dried mint. The clean, bright tang of amchur makes your mouth water on instinct. This is the smell of a great chaat stall - and now it lives in your kitchen.

How to Use

For Classic Spicy Pani Puri Water (serves 4–6)

  1. Measure: Add 2 level teaspoons of Saptrishi Pani Puri Masala to a large mixing bowl or jug.
  2. Dissolve: Pour in 1 litre of chilled, filtered water and stir thoroughly for 60 seconds until fully dissolved.
  3. Taste & Adjust: Sample the water. Add ½ teaspoon more for a sharper tang, or dilute slightly for a milder version.
  4. Enhance (Optional): Blend in 10–12 fresh mint leaves + 4 sprigs of coriander and strain for a restaurant-style green finish. Add a small piece of tamarind pulp for deeper sweet-sour notes.
  5. Chill: Refrigerate for at least 15 minutes before serving. Cold water amplifies the spice bloom.
  6. Serve: Fill your golgappas, top with your preferred filling (ragda, boondi, or boiled potato), and serve immediately.

Also Works In: Papdi chaat water, aloo chaat seasoning, digestive jaljeera drink, and as a cooling summer nimbu-pani variant.

Why Most Pani Puri Masalas Disappoint

The pani puri you buy at your favourite stall carries one risk nobody talks about openly: you never really know what went into the water. Artificial colors to make it look greener. Synthetic flavour enhancers to mask low-quality spice. Water hygiene, you have no control over. The result is either a stomach you can't trust - or the constant compromise of avoiding a food you genuinely love.

There is a cleaner way.

Farm-to-Chaat, No Shortcuts

Saptrishi Pani Puri Masala is built on a single principle: every ingredient must earn its place on purity grounds first, flavour grounds second.

Our blend is sourced through direct farmer relationships - the same network that supplies our flagship Haldi and Sharbati Atta. Each spice is Chakki-fresh quality processed - ground the traditional way, at controlled temperatures that preserve the volatile oils responsible for authentic aroma. No synthetic anti-caking agents. No added colours. Purity-tested at every stage before blending.

The digestive spice profile - jeera, ajwain, saunf, kala namak, and a precise measure of hing - isn't just for flavour. These are the same digestive spices that Indian grandmothers reached for instinctively. Hing to ease bloating. Ajwain to support digestion. Saunf to cool. Combined, they make pani puri not just a snack, but a food your body recognises as honest.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What makes Saptrishi Pani Puri Masala different from regular brands?

A: Saptrishi uses a chemical-free, purity-tested spice blend with hing-infused digestive spices sourced directly from farms. Unlike mass-market masalas, it contains no artificial colors, no synthetic flavour enhancers, and is processed using Chakki-fresh quality methods that preserve natural aroma.

Q: Is this masala safe for daily use?

A: Yes. The digestive spice base - jeera, ajwain, saunf, and kala namak - is traditionally used in Indian cooking for gut health. There are no synthetic additives.

Q: How much masala do I need for 1 litre of pani puri water?

A: Use 2 level teaspoons of Saptrishi Pani Puri Masala per 1 litre of chilled water for a balanced tangy-spicy blend.

I picked up the Sambhar Masala just to try it, and it turned out to be surprisingly good. The taste was close to homemade, which is rare with ready masalas. Will definitely buy again.

The Shahi Paneer Masala gave a great taste to my dish without needing to add too many other spices. It’s convenient, especially for someone like me who cooks occasionally.
